THE AFRICAN MEME
($AMEM) — A Community-Driven Meme Project, Built to Become the Support-Structure for African-Based Crypto Projects
Abstract
The African Meme ($AMEM) is a community-powered meme token built on the BNB Smart Chain with a mission that extends beyond speculation: to create a self-sustaining cycle of support among African crypto projects. Through a dedicated treasury funded by transaction taxes, the AMEM utility and revenue from stabilized projects, $AMEM seeks to become the support-structure for African projects and builders.
We will do this through mind-reorientation, funding African products to stability and visibility, buying back tokens of community-selected African projects, and adding to their liquidity pools — strengthening price stability, deepening liquidity, and fostering mutual growth across the African Web3 ecosystem.
$AMEM positions itself not merely as a meme coin, but as a symbol of African unity, resilience, and collective economic empowerment in decentralized finance.

Vision & Mission
3.1 Vision
To build the largest community-driven support network for African crypto projects, where token holders actively contribute to the growth and stability of promising African-built ecosystems.
3.2 Mission
- Foster synergy between the African community and crypto projects through direct, on-chain support.
- Fund African dreamers through real-time support.
- Strengthen the liquidity and price stability of partner projects via strategic buybacks and LP additions.
- Build a strong, engaged community that votes on which projects receive support.
- Promote a unifying narrative for African representation in the global crypto space.
Problem Statement
African builders and crypto projects frequently contend with a lack of funding, thin liquidity, volatile price action, and limited access to capital or marketing support. Many promising projects fail not because of weak fundamentals or a lack of product ideas, but because of a lack of funding to build products, no community backing, and thin liquidity depth in their early stages.
There is currently no established mechanism or system within the African crypto space where token communities pool resources to directly support and stabilize sister projects. $AMEM was built to fill that gap.
The $AMEM Solution
$AMEM addresses this through an automated treasury-and-buyback model:
- A 1% transaction tax is allocated to a Treasury wallet on every buy, sell and transfer.
- The community nominates and votes on African projects to support.
- The Treasury powers solid product ideas and executes buybacks of the selected project's token using accumulated funds.
- Purchased tokens are sent directly into that project's liquidity pool — deepening liquidity and reducing volatility.
- Funded and established projects then become an income stream for our Treasury.
This creates a cycle of cross-project support, visibility, and shared community growth.
The $AMEM Project Funding
One of the ways we will support African builders is by funding their product ideas. We understand that there are African dreamers — Africans who have amazing product ideas, but may not have the finance to fund them.
$AMEM will come in, check the product they seek to build, and assess how feasible and scalable it is. If it meets our requirements, we will commit funds into it, building it from scratch to stability.
The $AMEM Utility (Proposed)
Since 1% transaction fees cannot fund this vision alone, the African Meme community will be building utilities around the project. This utility will be a major income stream for our Treasury, with which the dream of becoming the African support-structure can be actualized.

Tokenomics
Total Supply: 1,000,000,000 (1 Billion) AMEM | Buy Tax: 4% | Sell Tax: 4%
| Allocation | Tax % | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Treasury | 1% | Accumulates BNB which funds our Treasury |
| Liquidity Pool | 1% | Strengthens AMEM/BNB liquidity depth and price stability |
| Developer | 1% | Community growth, partnerships, and campaigns |
| Burn | 1% | Permanently removes supply, creating deflationary pressure |
Each tax bucket serves a distinct purpose: the treasury funds real on-chain support, the liquidity allocation keeps $AMEM stable, the developer allocation supports community growth, and the burn creates steady deflationary pressure on supply.
The $AMEM Treasury
To become the support-structure of African projects, a 1% transaction tax alone cannot power this vision. There are three main structures that will fund our Treasury:
- Transaction tax — 1% on every buy, sell and transfer automatically funds the Treasury.
- The $AMEM utility — 30–50% of the revenue generated from the utility built around the project will fund the Treasury.
- Supported projects — projects we have supported to stability will also fund the Treasury, contributing 10–20% of the revenue generated from their products.
Community Governance
$AMEM operates on a community-first governance model for its core utility — the support and buyback programme:
- Holders nominate African projects for potential support via community channels.
- Voting is conducted periodically (monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly) based on community size and treasury balance.
- The Treasury goes to action — funding of products and/or buybacks plus LP additions. All transactions are fully transparent and verifiable on-chain.
- As the project matures, governance will evolve toward formal on-chain voting mechanisms.
